The general requirement for the construction and installation of sprinkler irrigation system is to strictly follow the design. When the design must be modified, it should be approved by the design unit and the competent department. The construction of relevant buildings shall comply with the requirements of current codes, such as "code for construction and acceptance of water supply and drainage buildings", "code for construction and acceptance of underground waterproof works", etc. According to the characteristics of sprinkler irrigation system, the following problems should be paid attention to during its construction and installation:
（1） In addition to protecting the existing sprinkler irrigation as far as possible, special attention should be paid to the disposal of pipe ditch spoil in the construction of existing sprinkler irrigation plot. The waste soil must be placed in layers, and the pipe should be backfilled in layers in the reverse order to ensure that the soil in the planting layer along the pipeline is consistent with the original soil.
（2） Water discharge devices shall be installed on the main pipe and each branch pipe to facilitate the flushing of the pipe and freezing in winter. Even in the southern region without freezing injury, the pipeline should be emptied in the non irrigation season to prevent the water from staying in the pipeline for a long time to produce microorganisms, which will affect the effect of sprinkler irrigation. In addition to the common gate valve and ball valve, the water discharge device also has an automatic drain valve, which can automatically discharge the water in the pipeline after the water filling stops.
（3） When the system pressure changes or the terrain fluctuates greatly, the pressure regulating equipment should be installed at the branch valve, such as accu set pressure regulator produced by hunter and matched with solenoid valve, so as to balance the pressure at the branch pipe inlet and ensure the spray uniformity of the system. In addition, the necessary pipe sections should also be installed with inlet and exhaust valves, pressure relief valves, etc., to protect the safety of the system.
（4） In order to facilitate the temporary water intake or manual irrigation for the corner area where sprinkler irrigation is not easy to control, a certain number of quick water intake valves (convenient bodies) should be installed on the main pipeline, such as hunter HQV type quick water intake valve. This kind of quick water intake valve is used together with the matching key, and the valve can automatically open the water supply by inserting the key; if you want to stop irrigation, just remove the key and the valve will automatically close.
（5） Installation of buried sprinkler head
1. The nozzle must be preset before installation. The sprinkler with adjustable fan angle is mostly set at 180 degrees when leaving the factory. Therefore, before installation, the sprinkler head should be adjusted to the required angle according to the actual terrain requirements for spraying fan angle.
2. The top of the nozzle should be level with the last floor. This requires that the top of the sprinkler head should be lower than the loose soil ground when installing the sprinkler head, so as to leave room for the future ground settlement; or install the sprinkler head when the ground no longer settles.
3. The best connection between the nozzle and the branch pipe is swing joint, also known as thousand autumn stand. For example, Hunter's sj-512 and sj-712 can effectively prevent pipeline and nozzle damage caused by mechanical impact, such as mower operation or human activities. At the same time, the hinged joint is used to adjust the installation height of the nozzle during construction.
4. In areas where management is inconvenient, sprinkler heads with certain anti-theft performance can be installed.
